I'm thinking of the Goyard St. louis or a longchamp tote but can't decide. The great value of the longchamp attracts me but I like the look of the goyard (although I do worry about losing items because there is no way to cinch the bag)..do you think one is more chic and timless? Thanks!

Though I have a Goyard tote bag that I travel with occasionally, one thing that I especially love about this Longchamp tote (that other designer bags for some reason don’t have) is the top zipper. It adds an extra level of security and privacy; I don’t necessarily want my contents out in the open for the world to see! Goyard is one of my least favorite handbag brands. It literally looks like plastic.. I highly recommend Longchamp. Prices are reasonable and their nylon bags are very durable.One of the most popular and common questions, when it comes to luxury totes, is which one is the best designer tote bags - Louis Vuitton Neverfull or Goyard Saint Louis or Longchamp Le Pliage Tote?
^^^Goyard is widely knocked off. Tons of bad fakes for sale on NYC corners and Canal Street alone. I've never used a Goyard before but love my Longchamp tote in black. It can take a beating and still look neat and clean. Goyard St Louis Tote in the PM size. Chanel GST in black with gold hardware. Longchamp Le Pliage bag. These are all great bags in their own right and I love the look of each of them. However, for practicality as well as style, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull and Longchamp Le Pliage bags win hands down.

The brand has dabbled in prints (like with its block-lettered iteration of the Le Pliage)—but its black and navy colorways are indubitably the most classic. It comes with a water-resistant nylon body, ideal for braving a rainy day or hitting the pool.The Longchamp isn’t flashy and it’s not overly expensive so it should fly under the radar. If anyone comments on mine I play up the durability and water resistance. I have and love both bags. I suggest Longchamp for Uni because if the Goyard gets stolen, you’ll be that much more devastated!!
